I always save the emails I get from fans of programs who get mad at me for calling Miami the Convicts and FSU the Criminoles because they always insist their programs aren't like that anymore. The Nevin Shapiro case proved that Miami still had a Convict within the program and this week the Seminoles proved they still have enough Criminoles on their team to warrant the label. From the BigLead...
Arrington Jenkins: Freshman linebacker who is redshirt was arrested over the weekend for his alleged part in a “vehicular theft.”
Avis Commack: Junior defensive back who played in every game this year was arrested for an alleged theft of an Ipad from the FSU computer lab. A female student said her backpack with Ipad was lifted from the computer lab; Commack said he “found” the ipad. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll play in the bowl game.
Yep. Nothing to see here. FSU clearly runs a clean program with no shady characters on their team. I should just take down these Criminoles shirts immediately.
grow up
ReplyDeleteYep because the catholic church doesn't love little boys.
ReplyDeleteAt least Florida State doesn't send kids to up to their death just to film a terrible offense led by a DUI offender.....
ReplyDeleteYou're representing the Catholic Church. You have no right to call anyone else a criminal.
ReplyDeleteOh yea...and your head coach got a student assistant killed last year.
So enough throwing stones and just worry about how your offense isn't gonna get past FSU's defense.
Catholic leaders like little boys, don't even go their under that Catholic banner.
ReplyDeleteI think you guys got your Northern schools mixed up.
ReplyDeleteHaha I literally read someone say "you have no right to call them criminals". Newsflash they committed a crime they ARE criminals! Also fyi the catholic church does not = Notre Dame University or its football program but I wouldn't expect any FSU fan to be able to differentiate.
ReplyDeleteYeah..FSU criminals...the biggest criminal in the game is at wideout for Notre Shame...Floyd is just an angel, right? If he was at any other school he'd be in jail. Oh yeah, and didn't Rudy just get charged with fraud by the SEC? Typical Irish fans, hypocrites..just goes along with Catholicism I guess. I guess when your program has been irrelevant for so long you start with the stupid insults. Worst part is they think they're still good...
ReplyDeleteI am curious to know when Florida st became relevant?
ReplyDeleteCriminoles vs child molestors.
ReplyDeleteFlorida State is relevant? You can always tell when you strike a chord of truth: the knives come out.
ReplyDeleteYes, you have criminals on your team and you always have. It is your reputation. You can't shake it. Notre Dame's reputation is the opposite. You earn your reputation over a period of time. Ours is filled with championships, Heisman winners, charity work, and world shapers. Yours is filled with rape, murder, theft, cheating and being awarded a title you didn't earn because the press thought your coach would be dead by 1994.
Ok, let's talk recent relevance. What makes Notre Dame relevant? Is it the last 14 years of just above a .500 winning percentage with 6 coaching changes since Lou Holtz in 88? Or maybe the outstanding bowl record of 9 straight bowl losses from 95-07? Finally beating Hawaii in 08',WOW! Didn't go in 09', got vastly improved in 2010 beating a 6-6 Miami team. Heisman trouphy? The last time ND won a Heisman was 1987, Tim Brown, that's 24 years ago! The last National Title ND won was 1988, once again it's been a long while.
ReplyDeleteThe fact is Notre Dame hasn't done anything worth talking about on football field in over 20 years. It's a place where great coaches go to ruin careers and 5 star recuits go a get completly lost, never to be drafted.
The whole Criminole thing is laughable, no one can say that FSU has any more recent arrests then any other program in the nation, including Notre Dame. RAPE? MURDER? WHEN? Are you really serious?
So all you Notre Dame fans can continue to live in the past. Nothing will change, the media will hype you up in the begginning of the year, rank you high, only to watch your team fall out of the top 25 by seasons end. So sell these ridiculuos T shirts that will pump up our team for gameday and watch our fast denfense dominate!
Wow, you sound like a crying little girl. Notre Dame was winning championships when you were just a twinkle in the eye of the FSU player that raped your mom.
ReplyDeleteWith a response like that you sound like a world shaper. Mom jokes?? Nice...Pop in those VHS tapes and watch some ND Championship highlights buddy!
ReplyDeleteI will, because they exist.
ReplyDeleteSomeone on here said no one can say fsu has more arrests than any other school? There are things called facts again as a fsu fan I wouldn't expect you to understand what those are. FACT : FSU ranked 7th nationally in college football with having charged players on its team with 9 charged players. You bring up the fact ND is ranked high in the preseason FACT: Your criminoles were ranked 5th to star the season. You speak of relevance yet what has fsu done the past 10 years? ND has been down yet still gets the ratings, still leads off sportscenter, and still makes people like you bitter that seems pretty relevant to me. Also ND #2 for bowl team graduation rates you will never see that at fsu, but I'm sure those 2 criminoles this week will graduate on time and with great grades now that they have stolen goods!
ReplyDeleteThree Guys rules.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why is uses that as my name its from an old blog.
ReplyDeleteSean:
ReplyDeleteSo 6 teams ranked higher in charges. HAHA. What are thier nicknames? Where did you find this and where does ND rank? I'm sure ND has some charges, what are they?
My original post was directed to Ole Captain American on his ridiculuos claims and I was simply trying to prove a point that FSU is not the only team that has arrested players. The point is KIDS make stupid mistakes all over the nation at every Major Universities. Period. Agree or Disagree? You bring up we were ranked 5th to start the season. Yes and after FSU beats ND we'll finish ranked in the top 25 for the 7th time in 10 years and ND will not finished ranked. Shocking I know. Yes, I do speak of recent relevance. What has FSU done in the last 10 years? In comparison to ND, I'd say ALOT. Even though it has been a down decade for Seminole standards, it's still not all that bad and ND would have loved to do what FSU has the past decade. Here's why
AP Final Rankings 01-#15 02-#21 03-#11 04-#15 05-#23 08-#22 10-#17.
Overall Record the last 10 years 92-51. Winning %.637.Bowl Record 6-4 from 01 to 10. Notable Bowl Victories from 01-10. These are considered solid programs right? 02-Va Tech 05-West Virginia 06-UCLA 08-Wisconsin 09-West Virginia 10-South Carolina. The Noles have 30 straight bowl apperances and 34 straight winning seasons.
So if it makes ya'll feel better to call us criminoles, go for it. It doesn't change the fact that ND hasn't done anything in 20 years. As shown above, FSU is clearly a better football program the last 20 years. I like talking FOOTBALL, you want to talk Academics and off the field arrests because your football program lacks talent. Peace Three guys and Captain America, I'm out. GO NOLES!
Anonymous-Some of the 6 ranking ahead of them are Pitt, Iowa, and of course STATE PENN. My point is fsu has a reputation for having criminals on its team. The type of player fsu gets is highly talented but some lack character. I think even you can admit fsu players have had their fair share of run ins with the law and I also think some of the crimes make it worse. I do agree kids make mistakes take Michael Floyd for example. No school is perfect and you can't control every player but it has been a pattern at fsu and that is why they get their nickname. I agree with you it is nice to talk football and not have to include everything but overall a program is on and off the field so as a program Notre Dame is better than fsu. But you are right the past 10 years obviously fsu has been more successful. ND has underachieved greatly. Also having 4 coaches over that period does not help and would be tough for any program to overcome. That does not mean ND is irrelevant or lacks talent. The talent is there and it is still coming in, now we have to see what they do with it. Take for example Aaron Lynch who chose ND, than switched to fsu, then back to ND, he is regarded as one of the top 5 freshmen in the country. So your team has a stigma as having criminals and your players are currently not helping to fix that image. I look forward to this bowl game and love this rivalry! This debate is part of why I love this rivalry so much, can't wait to hear your congratulations on the 30th! Peace.
