The Tri-City Herald Paper Salutes The Sonics

Congratulations go out to the Seattle Sonics Oklahoma City Thunder on their impressive comeback last night vs the Spurs and finishing off Coach Pop's timeless warriors for the Western Conference Championship. The Tri-City Herald (Kennewick, WA) put out this knife to the gut sports section today. Bravo I say. Why not put a little humor in a bad situation? It's why I always laugh and point at the dead people at funerals.

As a former resident of Western Washington (I left two years before the Sonics), it's bittersweet to think about the joy this would have brought to Seattle. But nooooo, the city and state just had to hold the line on a new arena, even though the Key was a dump. Seattle's loss, OKC's gain.

  2. As a Cleveland native, I empathize (browns being stolen by baltimore and go on to win Super Bowl). Though I'm not a fan, here's hoping the celtics do a righteous smack Down on everyone to finish off this season!

  3. Having lost the Thrashers to Winnipeg of all places I can understand how you guys feel. Terrible ownership killed our team.

Gotta blame it on the ownership. Not OKC.
    Stay classy Seattle.
